Today, We Celebrate Mustafa 🎉

Some newsletters are about what we are building. Others are about the people building alongside us.

Today is about Mustafa Siddiq.

Mustafa has been an important part of MOMfidence almost from the beginning of our ambassador journey, and one of the things I appreciate most about him is the way he continually looks for ways to use his knowledge and experience to help others.

We have previously launched the Student Success Toolkit in English and Studentguiden in Norwegian. Now Mustafa is taking another step, making his resource available to an entirely new audience.

Today, we are launching his new student guide in Arabic.

For me, this is about much more than translating an existing product into another language. It is about accessibility — meeting people in their own language, making knowledge easier to access, and allowing a resource created by one person to help people across borders.

And perhaps most importantly, it is about watching an ambassador take ownership, develop his ideas, and create something new.

Our Ambassadors Are Taking on Bigger Roles

What is happening with Mustafa right now also represents much of the direction MOMfidence is moving in.

Over the past few weeks, we have started putting a clearer and more structured plan in place for our next phase. As part of that, our ambassadors have been asked whether they would like to take on slightly bigger responsibilities and more important roles within MOMfidence going forward.

And they said yes.

That means a great deal to me.

MOMfidence began as my idea and something I experienced as a calling from God, but the goal has never been for everything to depend on me. I want to build a community where more people can use their strengths, contribute ideas, take responsibility, and help shape what we create together.

That is why I am so excited about this next phase. Not because I am going to do more, but because we are going to build more together.

I am genuinely proud of our ambassadors and grateful for the trust they show by choosing to take a bigger role in this. They come from different countries, cultures, and professional backgrounds, and that means each person brings something to MOMfidence that no one else can replace.

What started as mine is becoming more and more ours.

Leadership Is Not About Making Yourself Indispensable

As a leader, it can be tempting to measure your value by how much you personally do - how many decisions you make, how many problems you solve, or how much would stop if you were no longer there.

But perhaps a much better measure of leadership is the opposite.

What happens when you start giving responsibility away?

Developing people requires more than telling them what to do. It requires trust. It means giving others room to use their own strengths, bring their own ideas, and find their own way to contribute.

Sometimes leadership means going first. At other times, it means moving slightly to the side so someone else has room to step forward.

That is the kind of leadership I want to develop further within MOMfidence now. I do not want to build a team that needs me at the center of everything. I want to help develop people who take responsibility, create, influence, and eventually begin lifting others as well.

Because when more people are given the opportunity to grow, the vision can grow far beyond what one person could ever build alone.

Today, we get to see a small example of exactly that.

Mustafa has used his knowledge to create something that can now reach even more people in their own language.

And that deserves to be celebrated.

Congratulations, Mustafa. We are cheering you on, and we cannot wait to see who this resource will help.
