MOMfidence Insider #3
Weekly updates, leadership, and behind-the-scenes insights from the journey of building MOMfidence.
Welcome to the third edition of MOMfidence Insider.
This week reminded me of something important.
MOMfidence is not about me.
It is about people.
When I started this journey, I had a vision of creating a place where people could grow, share ideas, build relationships, and create something meaningful together. Over the past few weeks, I have started to see the first signs of that vision becoming reality.
People from different countries, backgrounds, and experiences are beginning to find each other.
They are sharing ideas.
They are asking questions.
They are helping one another.
They are encouraging one another.
They are seeing opportunities and possibilities that I could never have discovered alone.
And that is exactly what I hoped MOMfidence would become.
One of the things that excites me most right now is seeing the flow of ideas that has already begun.
We have had conversations about how to make content more accessible in China and other parts of the world.
We have discussed opportunities related to students and young adults.
We have received ideas for content, creative resources, and new ways of sharing knowledge.
We have talked about crafts, patterns, digital products, and how people can build on the skills, interests, and experiences they already have.
It is still early.
But something powerful happens when people are given space to think out loud, share their experiences, and build upon each other's ideas.
This week also marked a personal milestone.
Both the English and Norwegian editions of my book are now available on Amazon in both eBook and paperback formats.
The English edition is titled Building Business With and Without God - One Woman's Journey from Performance to Peace, and the Norwegian edition is titled Ć bygge business med og uten Gud.
It still feels a little surreal to see both books available to readers around the world.
At the same time, it reminds me of something important:
Books are rarely the end of a journey.
More often, they are the beginning of new conversations.
Leadership Without Hype
This week I have been reflecting on one of John C. Maxwell's leadership principles.
Leadership is not about how many people follow you.
Leadership is about how many leaders you help develop.
Anyone can gather followers.
Far fewer invest in building people.
When people begin to believe in themselves, share their ideas, take initiative, and help others without being asked, you know that something meaningful is happening.
That is the kind of leadership I want MOMfidence to represent.
Not hype.
Not chasing visibility.
Not quick wins.
But people who grow.
People who build.
People who help other people grow.
If we can do that well, I believe everything else will follow naturally.
Thank You
If you asked me what I am most grateful for right now, the answer would be simple:
The people.
Not the platform.
Not the books.
Not the numbers.
But the people who have chosen to be part of this journey.
Thank you for reading.
Thank you for following along.
And thank you to everyone who contributes ideas, questions, experience, encouragement, and support along the way.
We have only just begun.
And that may be the most exciting part of all.
